Description:
Locally based Software firm is seeking a Software Engineer(s)to join the Software Development team to provide development and maintenance of the company's flagship web-based software.
The Software Engineer's day to day duties include:
Working across departments in a collaborative work environment;
Gather and clearly capture requirements;
Develop clean easy-to-maintain code;
Identify and execute scenarios to test your code;
Troubleshoot complex problems and work to deadlines.
Requirements
The successful Software Engineer will have:
BS/BA in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience;
5+ years related experience;
Experience building enterprise class web applications;
Experience building RESTful and/or SOAP web-services;
Java, Groovy, Grails, Spring, Hibernate, XML, JSON, Javascript, JUnit (or other unit testing frameworks);
SQL and database design experience (Postgres, MSSQL or other);
Linux, Apache, Tomcat, Ant/Ivy;
Experience working in Scrum or other Agile environments;
NoSQL (MongoDB, Hadoop, CouchDB, etc..) experience a plus
